Romans 8:35-37

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?… we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

Succeeding against all odds means:

• Winning where the chances of winning are low

• Winning when the risk of losing is high

• Winning even when the odds and the problems are big

Romans 8:18

“The sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

This Sunday’s word reminds us — like Esther, Haman’s downfall, and Gideon — that with God’s FAVOUR, low chances don’t determine your outcome.

To be victorious against the odds, you need the FAVOUR of God.

WHAT IS FAVOUR?

a). Getting approval

b). Receiving kindness from God

c). Being treated well

d). Advocacy by God

FACTS ABOUT FAVOUR

1️⃣ Favour is heavenly selection

“Mary… do not be afraid, you have found favour with God.” — Luke 1:30

2️⃣ Favour comes in season

“…in the acceptable time…” — Isaiah 40:8

“Remember me, O Lord, with the favour You have for Your people.” — Psalm 106:4

3️⃣ Favour increases or decreases

“Jesus increased in stature, in wisdom, and in favour with God.” — Luke 2:52

4️⃣ Favour establishes the work of our hands

“Let the beauty of the favour of the Lord be upon us, and establish the work of our hands.” — Psalm 90:17 (NIV)

5️⃣ Favour brings acceptance

It is the treatment for rejection.

6️⃣ Favour is a shield

It’s protection against the attacks of the enemy — it positions you for victory.

— Psalm 5:12

“The Lord was with Joseph… and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.” — Genesis 39:21

Beloved, wherever you find yourself this week, know that God’s favour goes where you go. The same God who was with Joseph in the pit and in the prison is with you. Your current odds do not determine your outcome; His favour does.

Walk this week in confidence, not because the situation has changed, but because the One who holds favour over your life has not changed. You are more than a conqueror
