The Mystery of a Certain Place

WHERE ARE YOU?
God commands his blessings to be in certain places. There are places He expects us to be but unfortunately we are nowhere to be found.

In Genesis 28:10-19, Jacob was found to be at the right place at the right time. He named the place Bethel which meant “surely the Lord is in this place”.
Bethel signifies :-
• The house of God
• The gate of heaven
• A place of vision
• A place of divine promises• A place of divine encounter.
• A place of divine assurance.

In Genesis 3:9, We see God call out to Adam and asking him where he is. At that time Adam was in the wrong place. That is God’s question to each one of us “Where are you?”
“Are you in the place and condition you ought to be?”
A sinner in the right place and a saint in the wrong place are birds of the same feather.

Psalms‬ ‭1:1‬
Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers.

Luke 19:4-5, Zaccheus was at the right place and that not only made Jesus see him but he also dined at his house that day. His location saved him.
There is a particular place we are supposed to be visited. The angel of God assigned to us has a forwarding address of where we are supposed to be.
If we are not found where you should receive the blessings, the parcel would be returned even though it was a blessing to meet you. Where will you be when your blessings come?

A place of faithfulness
1 Kings 17:1-6
Elijah had faith in God that he would provide for him despite it being so dry.
God told him to move from where he was and go to the Brook of Cherith. His miracle was to be found there and not where he currently was.
God commanded ravens to bring bread and meat for his daily provision. The ravens would never have fed him anywhere except the place where God told him to go.
The ravens were faithful to deliver and serve the prophet Elijah. How faithful are we are servants to the prophet God has given us?
God has assigned us as ravens to take care of his prophets. He has released a provision for us in different sectors and has given us a task and mandate to take care of our prophets in faithfulness.
The more you position yourself into giving, God will always give a provision for you. In Luke 6:38, Jesus tells us to give and it shall be given back to us, good measure, presses down, shaken together and running over.
God makes a way out from sources we didn’t expect when we remain faithful in standing with God’s word and prophets.

A place of sustainance
God is very mindful about his prophet.  1 Kings 17:9-16
When the brook of Cherith dried up,God told Elijah to go to Zarephath where he had prepared a widow to take care of him.
God reveals himself supernaturally to those who minister to his servants.
Although the widow at Zarephath had only one last meal to make, she prepared it and served the prophet Elijah.
Whatever little we give out the Lord makes sure to multiply and increase.
A small action backed up with faith works wonders.
After the widow fed the prophet, her supply never ran out until the day it began to rain in Israel.

A place of unity
Commanded blessings work in specific places.
Genesis 11:1-6
The people when united were able to
Where there is unity, breakthrough and victory is manifested.
God affirms because of our unity nothing we plan to do will be impossible for us.
Psalm 133:1-3
God is provoked to release commanded blessings and grace where there is unity.

A place of obedience and humility
2 Kings 5:1-4, 7-8, 10-14
Naaman humbled himself and listened to the words of his wife’s servant maid.
The servant maid was found to be at the right place at that opportune time.
Naaman had to go to dip himself in the river Jordan cos his healing could not happen in Syria.
River Jordan is not like other rivers. Just like our altar is not like other altars. It manifested in so many ways. It can act as an obstacle or a breakthrough.
Elisha sent his messenger to tell Naaman to do dip himself in the River Jordan seven times and this made Naaman furious.
Never despised a the messenger and wondered why Elisha didn’t meet him himeself.
We could be at the right place but fail to receive our miracle because of despising messengers sent by God’s servant.
The word of the prophet always has power. Whoever acts in the middle as a relay or transfer to you is working under the grace of his prophets.

A place of grace acknowledgement
Genesis 13:1-11, 14:8-12
There are people who when we are with, the grace working in their life covers and protects us.
When we leave a place of grace, problems follow us and also affects those around us.
Lot left Abraham but soon after we see him taken as a captive. Before Lot left Abraham, he had a large flock of herd but we see him leaving Sodom with only his wife and kids. Where did his wealth disappear to?
When we leave a place of grace,  everything about us is exposed to the enemy and he devours every thing like the devourer he is.
Genesis 19:29
There was no reason to prevent God from letting Lot be destroyed in Sodom and Gomorrah.  Abraham cried to God about him and the Lord heard and was  faithful enough to deliver Lot because of Abraham.
God does things to us in remembrance of his servant.

In Luke 4:25-27, Jesus says despite there being many widows in Israel at the time, God sent Elijah to the widow at Zarephath. Also Naaman was the only leper healed by Elisha during that time despite there being many lepers. What made this two different was the fact that they had faith and they were found in the right place at the right time.

There is a place of God’s blessings. You can never please God elsewhere except his divinely appointed condition and place. There is power in correct positioning and location. Your location determines your destiny. When you are wrongly placed, you are hooked to disgrace. It is a wonderful thing to be divinely located. Are you in the place God wants you to be?
