Numbers 21:4-9

This is about the Israelite journey from Mount Hor, where frustration with their journey led to complaining against God and Moses.

As punishment, God sent poisonous “fiery” snakes, causing many deaths. After the people repented, God commanded Moses to make a bronze serpent on a pole; all who were bitten and looked at it were healed.
